works

Some kind of remnants stay behind, when I draw, paint, clean, or build. This could be an ink rag, wipe, cleaning cloth or dirty work clothes. These are traces, artifacts of everyday life. These remnants that are created without thought, without intention or meaning often appeal to me more than an explicitly created work of art. The absence of pretentiousness to have meaning, allows for a wonderful spontaneous splendour to be born. An existence not governed by all the rules and principles in our visual arts ecosystem.
There seems to be coherence between this ‘remnant-works’ and my autonomous and performative work. I’m more an editor and collector than a creator.
